Wisconsin!

I feel like I can blog at least once a month at least until the girls are 5 or so... That's my new goal, unless of course I get an unusual spurt of extra time, but I think at this point it's unlikely and life will only get busier... For Declan's spring break we went back to Wisconsin for about a week and a half. It was great to see family and friends and it the kids LOVED seeing all their grandparents and friends too.

A few things I discovered in our travels... 1) 3 year olds kind of suck 2) People aren't as nice as you would think when they see you traveling with 4 kids (the girls first plane trip and they did great) 3) flying is way better than driving (I'll take 2 hours of misery over 13 any day 4) having 4 kids is a lot of work.

I remember when Declan was 3 and it was basically the worst year of his life. I seriously remember the day of his birthday when he woke up as a 3 year old, he was a totally different human. The girls true to form were a little delayed, but it's taken over :-) Luckily they were pretty good, very entertained and happy to be back in Wisconsin so no one wanted to send them home early.

Here are some pictures from the week (in random order because I'm too lazy to put them in order :-))...

All the Lawry grandkids and Andy's grandpa. Notice the scarfed amish girl Aven in the front...

Landon and a kitty they found while we were at Andy's cousins for Easter...

Our kids were obsessed about animals this visit... Even with the kitty...

Everyone with the kitty and Daddy on his phone :-)

Rare family picture - Andy still hasn't shaved his beard and it's killing me! :-)

Landon totally picked out his dress and shoes in this picture - it was so adorable and so funny!

Oregon's downtown and the kids enjoying it!

This is how Aven felt about leaving and then she wanted to see a picture of Jessie and for about a week every time someone called us on the phone she asked if it was Jessie (so sweet!)

We had a lot of activities for the girls on the plane

Even sleep eating pringles

Put your hands up!

Declan and one of his best buds Levin (and Levin's mouse)

Again, the girls are obsessed with an animal

Our annual picture of our kids and our best friends kids - these just get funnier over time

Baseball!

The weather is picking up here in Georgia and we've officially unlocked the doors to the backyard - which means, there is at least one child in the backyard at all times, and many times without clothes. Thank goodness we have good neighbors :-) The nice weather also has brought on baseball and I'll tell you, baseball is the real deal. Declan is 6 and parents are screaming at the ump and telling their teams that they didn't try hard enough. It's nuts and honestly I have a hard time watching it... But I do love watching Declan play and love that he's really starting to get into the "rules" of the game and enjoys it. Today we played outside all day and night long. And I got to go to Declan's game solo since it was during the girls nap time and Andy wanted to stay back and watch the Badger game. Here are a few pictures from the day...

Baseball Sunday...

Declan's team is early in the season so they rotate the boys around, today Declan played outfield, catcher and 2nd base... He did great!

He also got the game ball today because he played so well - so proud of the little guy!

Then when we got home, we played more baseball in the backyard  the girls LOVE playing!

Declan showing Stevie how to bat the right way.

Aven - she looks like an angel here...

We celebrated the Badger win with the girls first ice cream cone. It's hard to believe they are 3 and have never had a cone - deprived little girls ;) It went about as well as expected - they had it all over, they were cheersing each other with them and one's dropped on the ground where the others were eating it off the floor. Then they broke out in a random dance party (with no music mind you) and entertained everyone else at the ice cream place... (L to R: Stevie, Aven & Bria)
